COMING UP? Good question!

Right now, the world is experiencing an unparalleled crisis. People have been ill, some have died, and others are reporting ongoing effects of the COVID 19 bug. Businesses are struggling, and people have been isolating in their homes for months.

It is fair to say that nothing is as it was. That is the same for churches. For most of this time, churches have been closed but recently the government has been easing up and in-person worship is slowly returning.

Sadly that doesn’t apply to Fellowship Baptist Church because we rent a school for our meeting. At this point, we are unsure when we will return to on-site meetings but in the mean time there are a few ways you can access the ministry of FBC.

The first is via Zoom when we have a morning meeting at 11am on Sundays. It is difficult to call it a service since we aren’t doing singing but it is certainly a meeting of worship. We try to involve people with prayers, readings, and shared discussion. And of course, we hear teaching from the scriptures. We also do communion but it is a bit of an individualised thing – we’re all in our homes! If you’d like to join in, you should message us for the ID.

Another way of accessing ministry is to watch a Facebook Live sermon at 3pm on Sunday afternoons. This is a preaching talk as Pastor Stan speaks. Some of our people find it easier to watch Facebook than use Zoom. Interestingly, we are reaching a much wider audience with this medium. We have people watching from other parts of the world, and even from other religions. It’s easy to find us, just look up Fellowship Baptist Church Luton and look for the video to go live.

Finally, you may want a personal contact. You can message us, do e-mail, FaceTime, Skype, WhatsApp, or Zoom. And the good old fashioned telephone call still works.

God bless you all and like the song says, “We’ll meet again.”
